NewYear's Lucky Draw for Charity

Kasumisou Foundation found its programs as the fortunate recipient of a lucky draw charity lottery held by the staff of the Macquarie Securities, Tokyo Japan on January 29, 2008. Lottery tickets proceeds totaling 251,000 yen (about $2,368) were collected by eager bidders hoping to win the cutting edge "Wii" electronic entertainment system. An additional private donation of $1000 was received. The lucky draw was organized by the charities committee at Macquarie comprised of Mrs. Mindy Hepburn, Mr. Tony Orr, Mr. Ben Goodyear, Ms. Kuniko Tekawa, Mr. Shinobu Yasuda and Mr. Shinya Yoshida. Macquarie Bank Foundation in Australia most generously matched the funds that were raised as well as matching a private donation, for a total of $3,550.87 for a event related total of approximately $6,919.

Holiday Luncheon Fund Raiser for Charity

Kasumisou Foundation gratefully acknowledges the generous donation of Yen 918,000 from the holiday charity luncheon held on December 8, 2008. Organized by the charities committee of the Tokyo Branch of Macquarie Securities Ltd., Tokyo, luncheon ticket sales for 102 persons were sold for a total amount of Y 459,000. Featuring foods prepared by volunteers, a sumptuous buffet featuring nearly 30 selections was presented and quickly devoured. Macquarie Bank Foundation in Australia has generously agreed to match the funds that were raised for the luncheon, making a total result of Yen 918,000 ($9,800). These funds will applied towards Kasumisou Foundation’s AIDS Patient Family Support Program.
